In the arms of the vast and monumental Yosemite National Park, the Merced River runs.

The Merced River flows from the Sierra Nevada into the San Joaquin Valley, all the while passing through the Yosemite National Park on the western border.

In this portrait, visitors to Yosemite enjoy the Merced River's cool water in the height of summer. Verdant pines and other trees launch into the sky, although even they are not able to hide the impressive mountains of Yosemite National Park.
